This suite of furnishings was for a new Orthodox Church in Suffolk, the Joy of All Who Sorrow in Mettingham. The choir stand doubles as a bookcase, and its top revolves, giving the reader access to a number of texts at once.
The prestol is of a simple design, as it will eventually be hidden by a cloth.
The royal doors are shown with plain panels, as I installed them. They are also pictured with temporary icons and fabric inserts. Eventually the entire panels will be painted with icons.
The deacons’ door pictured is to be painted in due course, so the wood has been left bare.
