Furniture for churches is often given in memory of a loved one, and I can inscribe them accordingly. The first two pictures here are details of the front and back of an altar made for a school. It has the school’s motto on one side and ‘In remembrance of me’ on the other – doubly fitting as the altar was given in memory of an old girl.

The next two inscriptions are on the foot of an altar and the side of a lectern, and in each case has been done in an elegant but unobtrusive manner.

The fifth  piece – a work in progress – is on an altar built for the 300th anniversary of a Church of England school. (You may see more of it elsewhere on this site.) Here the carving is much bolder, as is appropriate.

And finally there’s an advertisement for me.
